Product description

Roe deer ear is a natural material much liked for tying caddis patterns, especially in small sizes, when you want presence, responsiveness and attraction without excess bulk. Taken from a specific area of the deer, it has firmer, livelier fibres than hare.

In the current, roe deer ear fibres generate pronounced vibrations that bring the fly to life and make it very noticeable to fish. That responsiveness makes it an excellent choice for caddis, in the body as well as the thorax, when you want an expressive but well-controlled fly.

Available natural or dyed, roe deer ear lets you match your tying to the conditions — leaning on realism or on added visibility — while keeping the same vibration and hold.
